La nature en tant que présence vivante, la matière et ses processus de transformation, l'espace comme territoire et le temps, sont des sources constantes d'inspiration et de réflexion sur lesquelles Chiara Di Domenico concentre son travail à travers un large éventail de médiums, en particulier le dessin et la peinture, mais aussi la photographie et l’installation.
Partant d’éléments qui renvoient au sujet du vivant et de l’espace, elle soulève des questions telles que les liens de l’homme avec la nature, le rapport au territoire, la mémoire, ainsi que la notion d’existence.
La pratique artistique a un rôle essentiel dans son œuvre, pour elle, ce n'est pas simplement un moyen pour arriver à une fin, mais elle fait partie intégrante du processus créatif.
"Dans ma démarche artistique, je m'intéresse à l'exploration et à la réinterprétation – même expérimentale – des disciplines traditionnelles. J'aime utiliser une technique qui nécessite un rituel de préparation ⎼ constitué de gestes et d'étapes précises à respecter ⎼ tout en y ajoutant une pratique plus performative impliquant le corps et les gestes de manière plus libre.
L'utilisation de matières organiques (comme les pigments, la terre, le graphite, le charbon, le coton, le bois, les feuilles, le marbre...) a une valeur intrinsèque dans le processus créatif puisque je considère ces éléments comme une matière première pour pouvoir affronter mes sujets de recherche”.

Nature as a living presence, matter and its transformation processes, space as territory and time, are constant sources of inspiration and reflection on which Chiara Di Domenico focuses her work through a wide range of mediums, in particular drawing and painting, but also photography and installation.
Starting from elements that refer to the subject of living things and space, she raises questions such as the links of man with nature, the relationship to territory, memory, as well as the notion of existence.
Artistic practice has an essential role in her work, for her it is not simply a means to reach an end, but an integral part of the creative process.
“In my artistic practice I am interested in the exploration and reinterpretation ⎼ even experimental ⎼ of traditional techniques.
I like to use a technique that requires a preparation ritual made up of specific gestures and steps to be respected ⎼ and mixing it with a more performative practice that involves the body and gestures in a freer way.
The use of organic materials ( such as pigments, ground, graphite, coal, cotton, wood, leaves, marble...) has an intrinsic value in my creative practice since I consider these elements as a raw material to be able to face my research subjects”.

La natura come presenza viva, la materia e i suoi processi di trasformazione, lo spazio come territorio ed il tempo, sono fonti continue di ispirazione e di riflessione su cui Chiara Di Domenico concentra il suo lavoro attraverso un'ampia gamma di mezzi, in particolare il disegno e la pittura, ma anche la fotografia e l'installazione.
Partendo da elementi che fanno riferimento al tema del vivente e dello spazio, l'artista, solleva interrogativi come i legami dell'uomo con la natura, il rapporto con il territorio, la memoria, nonché la nozione di esistenza.
La pratica artistica ha un ruolo essenziale nel suo lavoro, per lei non è semplicemente un mezzo per raggiungere un fine, ma è parte integrante del processo creativo.
“Nella mia pratica artistica, sono interessata all'esplorazione e alla reinterpretazione ⎼ anche sperimentale – delle discipline tradizionali. Mi piace utilizzare una tecnica che richiede un rituale di preparazione fatto di gesti e passaggi specifici da rispettare ⎼ e mescolarla ad una pratica più performativa che coinvolga il corpo e la gestualità in modo più libero.
L'impiego di materiali organici (come i pigmenti, la terra, la grafite, il carbone, il cotone, il legno, le foglie, il marmo...) ha un valore intrinseco nel processo creativo poiché considero questi elementi come materia prima per poter affrontare i miei temi di ricerca”.
